Today I wanted to feature one of my online coaching clients who has made tremendous progress with her health and fitness goals.  Megan reached out to me because she was frustrated with where she was with her body and wanted to make a change. After working with me via online coaching for 12 weeks she got some tremendous results.  As you can see in the photo, her waist trimmed up quite a bit and she's lost 3% bodyfat.  Here is my interview with her where she talks about her journey and experience working with me:

Introduce Yourself!

I'm Megan, I'm in my late 20s and work in Marketing at Yahoo. I have a really busy schedule at work and a very active social life. I've always been into working out, but would tend to get in a rut of the same workouts where I stopped seeing changes.

Tell me how you felt about your body before we began working together?

After moving back to LA after living in New York for a few years, I wasn't so confident about my body. I was still in shape, but after being in a city of eating and drinking, I didn't feel as lean as I used to be. I knew that I wanted to make some changes so I was more comfortable in my own skin.

What was your biggest concern before you began working with me? How did you overcome it?

I think the only concern I had was that I wasn't going to be motivated to fully finish all the workouts without someone actually present to watch me do them all. In the past, trainers I had were always on-site. This actually worked out better for me because I was able to do workouts my own time, so overcoming it was fairly easy once I learned how much more flexible it was for me to just check in.

What was the hardest thing for you to change in order to succeed? How did you do it?

Eating and drinking habits. Once you get them down, it's much easier to stay in a routine and habit. Making the initial changes can be harder because your body is used to a certain amount or type of food. To change my habits, I really had to be mindful of what I was eating at all times and check in with myself. Having Tim around to set me straight was helpful as I went through that.

What was the low point of your journey? How did you overcome it?

During the holiday season in December there were so many temptations everywhere - holiday parties, treats, big meals, etc. I knew that I wanted to indulge a little because it was that time of year, but I also didn't want to give up all the progress I had made. Overall, I did let myself enjoy some treats here and there, but definitely kept up with my workouts and clean eating at all other times. I may have not been perfect, but I was still doing better had I not been maintaining otherwise.

What did you achieve? How do you feel now?

I lost almost 3% body fat and I feel so much better! I even went and visited New York since I had moved away, and many of my friends there noticed the difference in my physical appearance. I feel like I accomplished a lot thanks to Tim keeping me honest and programming workouts that worked well for me and my time. I still want to keep going farther in my fitness journey, but this was definitely the focused transition I needed.
